Sometimes inspiration for designs comes like a flash when I'm some place inconveniently distant from a sketch book or iPad, and sometimes they sneak up in little bitty increments I come up with while I'm sitting at the bench. These earrings are definitely from the latter, evolving from the orbital rings and the simple orreries, and made from the pile of stones I'd been hoarding.
Now that I think about it, that's a lot like how biological evolution happens.
Anyway, however they got here, I couldn't be happier because I love these earrings. So many possibilities. Different links, endless stone combinations.
